Bengi BV is a officail representative of the Hanshin Diesel Works Ltd Japan for Europe. We carried out a major repair at Curacao, the found crankshaft was damaged with several cracks and hot spots and needed to be replaced. Found alignment of tailshaft and the intermidiate shaft were out of line, we dismantled tail and intermidiate shaft for inspection.
We designed a new thrust bearing for extra support of the intermidiate shaft and made a new alignment under class.
Dismantling all main components and transport out of the vessel, all parts were transported to the workshop on the ship yard for further inspection and repairs.
All main bearing caps were machined and the complete bed plate was line bored back to standard size all under class.
Bengi BV supplied new crankshaft, shaft inspected by class, cleaned and transported back to engine room with special lifting plates.
All parts as pistons, covers, liners, fuel pumps ect. are completely overhauled by Bengi engineers in situ.
Carried out alignment and all chock fasted with new knock bolts.
Engine rebuild with all new Bengi BV supplied spare parts, main engine was tested and seatrial carried out untill fully satisfaction of the owners.
